Natural Insecticide

Ever wonder how plants ever survived from the onslaught of insects before man so cleverly created the chemical insecticides that have reeked such havoc on our world? Here is one of the reasons, a 'natural insecticide' poised to grab a meal the next time opportunity presents itself. It's easy to see this hunter visualizing the hunt, after all, it has sooooo many eyes. This spider seems to be wise enough to avoid the bees as the takeoff strip (covered with spilled pollen) is on the left petal, although bees have obviously impacted the petal behind and under it. My guess is the spider is awaiting the occasional ant, aphid or earwig. My apologies to the arachnophobes.
