Garden Friend
In the past I've exposed you to some fierce looking bees and spiders that grabbed the attention of my camera lens. As a payback to those who don't happen to like their kind, here is another garden visitor that is less intimidating, more elusive and much more beautiful. After trying to catch the occasional butterfly in the many gardens I've visited (insecticides have decimated their populations), I visited the butterfly exhibit at the Seattle Science Center where several species are always available for viewing (and photographing). This one didn't seem to mind being the subject for my collection of images.
